Join the devs who brought Indiana Jones™ back to video games.

Develop:Brighton organisers Tandem Events today revealed that MachineGames’ Design Director Jens Andersson and Audio Director Pete Ward will be speaking at this year’s conference as the Develop:Brighton 2025 programme goes live on site.

Named ‘The Spirit of Adventure – Bringing Indiana Jones Back to Gaming’ - this talk offers an exciting exploration of both the successes and challenges involved in adapting Indiana Jones for today’s gaming landscape. Developed by MachineGames, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™ combines thrilling set pieces, intricate puzzle-solving, and intense hand-to-hand combat to deliver an authentic Indiana Jones experience.

Jens Andersson is a game designer and programmer, who began his career as a founding member of Starbreeze in 1998, working on games like Chronicles of Riddick and The Darkness. As an indie developer, he created award-winning games like Colors! and Yoku’s Island Express. Most recently, he served as Design Director for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle at MachineGames.

As the Audio Director at MachineGames, Pete Ward brings over 20 years of audio experience in the game industry. Before joining the MachineGames team on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Pete worked on a wide range of famous gaming titles such as Need for Speed, Pirates of the Caribbean, Batman Begins, and Harry Potter. With so many incredible titles behind him, Pete and his team have captured the feeling of being Indiana Jones by creating sounds from the crack of Indy's iconic whip, the boom of his trusty revolver, the creaks of his well-worn leather jacket, and a wide variety of atmospheric locations, tricky puzzles and deadly traps, placing players right in Indiana’s shoes.

“Pete and I are incredibly excited to share how we brought Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to life for today’s gamers! It is truly an honour for us to have a keynote at Develop:Brighton this summer.” said Jens Andersson, Design Director, MachineGames
